Raquel Robles

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Miguel Torres developped a passion for theatre at a very early age. He studied dramatic art in Bogotá and in Paris, and founded a thearical company, El Local, in 1970, where he staged many famous contemporary plays. He is also the author of a number of novels and collections of short stories. The first two parts El Crimen del siglo and El Incendio de abril of his remarkable Trilogy of the 9th of April, about the murder of political leader Jorge Eliecer Gaitán, were published respectively in 2006 and 2012 by Alfaguara Colombia. Both books were also published in Argentina in 2013. He is currently writing the third part.
